UnboundNow - Human Trafficking is Your Business

UnboundNow Houston serves survivors and resources our community to fight human trafficking in three primary ways: prevention education, professional training, and survivor advocacy. In this presentation you will learn how victims of trafficking may intersect with your business, how to identify them, and what you can do to take action. We believe that every girl and woman should have a life filled with autonomy, purpose, and fulfillment. What part will you play in ensuring that each survivor has this opportunity?
 
Attendees will: 
 

1. Learn about different types and trends of human trafficking: their local, statewide and international prevalence.
2. Be able to identify potential signs of human trafficking in victims who intersect with your work setting.
3. Understand the professional business person’s  role in identifying, reporting and connecting victims of human trafficking with help.
4. Develop a basic understanding and use of trauma-informed response principles . 
5. Be familiar with  available local resources for victim services and aftercare.
